I am fortunate enough to own a travel insurance company (Trawick International) and constantly be able to go see new places while working. Traveling is a passion and well work is work. At least I have a job where I get to work and play right? The trip to Vancouver, Canada was great and stands out in particular, because I attended with my eldest daughter who I happen to work with during her birthday. We were there for NAFSA which is the National Association For Student Advisors conference. This conference is so large you are surrounded by upwards of 7,500 people from all over the world. Some you know from work already, some potential clients, and some competitors. Every night is one lavish party after another for example: multi story clubs rented out, penthouses, champagne, 10 piece bands, you name it they have done it. You get to drink, dance, spend time with friends or ideally future clients. When we weren’t “working” we got to go to several local pubs for “fish and chips” as well as “bangers and mash.” I got to try a wide variety of new beers while there that I enjoyed thoroughly. My daughter and I went to see Wicked, which I always recommend to anyone near a show. This trip I got to meet so many people from such diverse backgrounds while working and spending time with family. What a great life I have.
